Spicyland takes Cozumel

We dodged the puddles, snagged a cab, and rode about 10 minutes to Nachi Cocom, where DT had arranged day passes for us. Access to their beach, chairs, pool, whirlpool, all we could drink, and lunch were included.
It was still dreary and drizzly when we arrived and led to our beach chairs, but after a while, it turned into this:
Ooooooolala!
Nachi’s pool with a swim-up bar off yonder:
It was such a beautiful, relaxing spot. We spent the morning on the beach, lounging and meandering around.
When we were ready for lunch, we moved to their dining room and ordered three courses from their menu: one appetizer, one main course, and one dessert.
DT chose melted cheese sticks, fried grouper with rice, and opted out of dessert (crazy man!).
I ordered chips and guacamole, cheese quesadillas, and ice cream for dessert (which I later did not have room for….I know, I’m crazy too).
Chips with habanero salsa were served to start….ayyy, it had a kick!
Honestly, this was the best meal we ate all week. My quesadillas were served with refried beans and more guacamole to slather on top. They were scrumptious and toasted to a T.
DT was crazy about the hot salsa and his main course. He shared his cheese sticks with me and the were so ooey and gooey and good.
After lunch, we turned poolside. We spent the better part of the afternoon in the hot tub and it was fabulous.
We headed back to the ship mid-afternoon after a glorious day at Nachi – I hated to leave! If you happen to find yourself in Cozumel for a day, I highly recommend a visit to this beach.
Goodbye, Cozumel!
Up next: Belize, Bannister Island!

Gorgeous! It has been years since we were in Cozumel. Can’t wait for Belize, I have never been there.
