Holiday Decorating

Happy Saturday!

Well, DT and I rocked Black Friday and came home with not one, but TWO Christmas trees….both of which were WAY on sale.  Whoop whoop!

So we set to work last night Christmas-ing up the joint.

We started downstairs with the 6-1/2 foot tree David snagged at Target.  We also unloaded the storage bins and rediscovered decorations we haven’t seen since last year.

Naturally, RJ and Milo had to sniff everything out.

Milo is helpful.

David's such a good tree assembler! 😉

Lights on!

And when we were all done, here is our pretty little downstairs tree:

Beeyooteeful!

It needs a star.  I’ll work on that this week.

Meanwhile, RJ stalks the decorations….

We also put Grandpa’s wee tree on the fireplace.  He sent this to me years ago when I lived in an apartment, but he wanted me to have some holiday flair.

And flair does this tree have.  It spins and glows and has plastic ornaments and even plays music.  I miss Grandpa.

Today has been dreary, rainy, and cold.  Generally unpleasant outside, so after running a couple of errands this morning, DT and I were more than content to hole up indoors for the rest of the day.

Step 1:  roaring fire.

Step 2:  The Firm is on cable.  We can’t resist.

Step 3 – later:  time for Christmas tree numero dos!

We found this 7-1/2 foot tree at Home Depot….only three were left and we grabbed one!

Does this look at all like last night?!

Ahhhh....another beeyooteeful!

What I discovered:  we now have two trees and need more ornaments.  The upstairs tree is a bit sparse.  Prrrrrroject!

We went outside to see what the tree looks like from the neighborhood….

Gosh, it’s puuurrrrdy!

I love the holidays!

Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!
